You have likely seen the construction vehicles as the
contract for this area was awarded to Henkels and McCoy earlier this
year and is in the final stages of testing, cleanup and cutover. We
will be contacting you by years end to schedule an appointment to
install the FTTH service.
*Jackson County- Sand
Gap= You have likely seen the construction vehicles as
the contract for this area was awarded to Henkels and McCoy earlier
this year. While construction has been ongoing in your area for
several months now, we are currently facing delays due to a
worldwide demand for fiber optic cable. As a result, our contractors
are completing preparatory work on the lines in your area to speed
up the construction process when the cable does arrive. Therefore
you will soon see construction in your area subside only to pick up
again, full steam, when cable does indeed arrive.

PHASE II
*Jackson County- Annville, Dabolt, Letterbox and Moores
Creek= You have likely seen the construction vehicles
as the contract for this area was recently awarded to Henkels and
McCoy. While construction has been ongoing in your area for a few
weeks now, we are currently facing delays due to a worldwide demand
for fiber optic cable. As a result, our contractors are completing
preparatory work on the lines in your area to speed up the
construction process when the cable does arrive. Therefore you will
see construction in your area ramping up only to subside before
coming back at a later date to continue with construction when cable
does indeed arrive.
PHASE III
*Jackson
County- Annville exchange area including High
Knob, Hog Camp, Tyner and Union School=
The contract for
your area was awarded to Henkels and McCoy and approved this week.
You will likely see construction vehicles in your area before the
end of the year. While construction is expected to begin prior to
year’s end, we are currently facing delays due to a worldwide demand
for fiber optic cable. As a result, our contractors will be
completing preparatory work on the lines in your area to speed up
the construction process when the cable does arrive. Therefore you
will see construction in your area ramping up only to subside before
coming back at a later date to continue with construction when cable
does indeed arrive.

*Owsley County- Cowcreek, Vincent and Travelers Rest;
Jackson County- Blackwater= The contract for your area
was awarded to Ervin Cable Construction. You will likely see
construction vehicles in your area before the end of the year. While
construction is expected to begin prior to year’s end, we are
currently facing delays due to a worldwide demand for fiber optic.
As a result, our contractors will be completing preparatory work on
the lines in your area to speed up the construction process when the
cable does arrive. Therefore you will see construction in your area
ramping up only to subside before coming back at a later date to
continue with construction when cable does indeed arrive.
PHASE V
*Jackson County- Jacks Branch, Mt. Bethel, Russell Flat,
Salt Rock and Drip Rock= The contract for your area was
awarded to Ervin Cable Construction. You will likely see
construction vehicles in your area in early 2012. While construction
is expected to begin during the winter months, we are currently
facing delays due to a worldwide demand for fiber optic cable. As a
result, our contractors will be completing preparatory work on the
lines in your area to speed up the construction process when the
cable does arrive. Therefore you will see construction in your area
ramping up only to subside before coming back at a later date to
continue with construction when cable does indeed arrive.

Jackson County-
Lakes Creek and Olin=
Your specific area is funded
through our RUS Infrastructure loan but is a top priority given the
proximity to McKee. The plans and specifications have been completed
and we have made arrangements with contractors to build the FTTH
facilities in your area however, we are currently facing delays due
to a worldwide demand for fiber optic cable.
Jackson County- Gray Hawk=
You have likely seen
the construction vehicles as the contract for this area was awarded
to Triple D Construction last year and is nearing the final stages
of testing, cleanup and cutover. We expect to begin contacting you
and your neighbors sometime in November or soon thereafter to
schedule an appointment to install the FTTH service.

Triple D Construction last year and is nearing the final stages of
testing, cleanup and cutover. We expect to begin contacting you and
your neighbors in the coming months to schedule an appointment to

Jackson County- Waneta=
You have likely seen the
construction vehicles as the contract for this area was awarded to
Triple D Construction earlier this year and is in the final stages
of testing, cleanup and cutover. We will be contacting you in the

County- Kirby Knob South= You have likely seen the
construction vehicles as the contract for this area was awarded
earlier this year and is in the final stages of testing, cleanup and

*Owsley County- White
Oak= Your specific area is a top priority as completion
of this project will result in the complete elimination of our cable
TV plant in Owsley County. The plans and specifications have been
completed and we have made arrangements with contractors to build
the FTTH facilities in your area however, we are currently facing
delays due to a worldwide demand for fiber optic cable. As a result,
our contractors are tentatively scheduled to begin work in your area
during the summer of 2012.

*Jackson County- Three Links=
Your specific
area is funded through our RUS Infrastructure loan but is a top
priority as completion of this project will complete our build out
along highway 1955 and County Line Road 1912 which will be completed
under the ARRA award for Sand Gap and Morrill. The plans and
specifications have been completed and we have made arrangements
with contractors to build the FTTH facilities in your area however,
we are currently facing delays due to a worldwide demand for fiber
optic cable. As a result, our contractors are tentatively scheduled
to begin work in your area during the summer of 2012.

Island City, Stay, Sexton Creek=
Your specific area is
funded through our RUS Infrastructure loan therefore planning and
construction is slated to begin in 2014. Rest assured we are
committed to completing our FTTH build out to our entire serving
area and will continue to strive toward completing those projects as
soon as possible.

FTTH construction is complete in your area. Please call PRTC to sign
up for FTTH services.

*The
worldwide demand for fiber optic cable has caused a delay in the
shipment of fiber optic cable for these areas. We are doing
everything we can and pulling every string we are aware of however
we have been unable to secure a commitment for the cable before
sometime next spring to early summer 2012.
